Edukation

Now that's a spelling error to learn from!

I went to Wheeling High School in Wheeling, IL where I smoked my opponents in an activity that shaped my life: Lincoln-Douglass Debate. Through my diligence and hard work, I have earned the honor of making the IL All-State Debate Team in '95 and '96.

For undergrad, I stayed local and attended Northwestern University where I majored in English Literature and Philosophy. I would have likely become an engineer had it not been for debate. I decided to set myself up for law school with two majors that I believed would be useful for the law. English is a top 5 major at Northwestern and it is a difficult program. I would like to think that my writing has been honed, but alas we're never done improving. Philosophy, although many would discount as a useless major, has helped me develop my own ideas and pragmatic lifestyle.

I am a member of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity (FKY) where I was the vice president and the house manager. During my senior year I was also a Greek Student Counseling where I was trained in emergency intervention.

Northwestern's campus is absolutely gorgeous. Not only is the campus located on Lake Michigan, but the city is easily accessible via the eL.

I am now a 2nd year law student at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. This is a good 2nd tier law school with a rigorous legal writing program that is unmatched by other schools (so I am led to understand). My hope is that Kent will rise to the 1st tier by the time I graduate. I have been fortunate enough to have been selected for the LADR (Litigation and Alternate Dispute Resolution) program, which should forge me into a better litigator than my peers. I am currently involved in the Criminal Defense Clinic, but I am interested in corporate litigation as well as estate planning.
